Ipswich Show Society is committed to promoting and encouraging the development of pastoral, horticultural and industrial interests in the Ipswich and West Moreton District of Queensland.

To enable us to deliver our services to the community, we need to collect, store and manage personal information. We only collect information that is needed for us to provide our services. This policy sets out how we manage personal information and our commitment to privacy protection.

Collection of personal information
We may collect personal information from you if you are involved with us as a supporter, volunteer, donor, sponsor, event attendee or as a member of our organisation in some other way. We collect information for several purposes including to:-

  • Interact with you or contact you,
  • Provide you with our services including processing orders for goods or services you have requested from us,
  • Consider your employment or other applications,
  • Manage and administer our organisation, including to keep administrative records,
  • Fundraise, promote events or for other marketing purposes, including to give you updates or information that may be relevant to you, and to
  • Improve our website or conduct analysis of our marketing activities.

When your personal information is collected, for example on forms or in person, we will specify the purposes for which we are collecting it. We collect personal information directly using from you or using our website, social media or other digital accounts, forms or in person. The type of personal information that may be collected includes:-

  • Your name and title,
  • Your contact details such as your address, contact number and email address,
  • Your date of birth and/or age,
  • Your opinions and preferences through surveys, reviews or questionnaires,
  • Payment or billing information relating to a purchase of goods or services or a donation, such as your billing address, bank or credit card details relating to payment and details for invoicing purposes,
  • Your Australian Business Number,
  • Information provided when you access our website or interact with us on social media, including your use of our website, browsing behaviour and other information available to us through cookies or web analytics, and
  • Any other personal information requested by us or provided by you.

we store personal information via our electronic database and on paper files at our office located at 81 Warwick Road, Ipswich QLD 4305. We store personal information in accordance with our internal policies and procedures to ensure its safety and protection from loss, damage or misuse. We securely destroy personal information when we are no longer required to give a record of it.

Disclosure of personal information

We only disclose your personal information where it is necessary to deliver our services to the community, and where we have told you about any disclosure at the time the information was collected, usually by referring you to this policy.

We disclose personal information within our organisation, including to our committee, employees and volunteers where it is required to deliver our services, hold our events, make decisions relation to your employment or other applications or where we need to for our administrative functions.

We will disclose your personal information to outside organisations when:-

  • We are required to by law,
  • You have asked us to share your information and have provided your written instructions requesting us to do so, and/or
  • We are required to do so to facilitate the management of the organisation, including to our legal representatives, financial planners or other professional services such as IT service providers, web hosting or other service providers.
  • Where information is disclosed to outside organisations, we will ask them to treat your personal information according to this policy.

You have the right to request to receive a copy of your information at any time and can ask us to correct any inaccurate, out-of-date or incomplete information. Tickets issued by the Ipswich Show Society Executive Committee (‘The Committee’) are subject to the following conditions:
These Terms and Conditions may be varied at any time. Any variations become effective on the day immediately after their publication on the website and apply to any purchases made after that date.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.

TICKETING

  1. Tickets are only valid if they are issued by our event on LUP “Ipswich Show 2022” hosted by LUP or through the Ipswich Show office. Tickets not issued through an authorised point of sale entry will be refused.
  2. Prior to purchasing a ticket through the LUP website, you may be required to register for a user account and to nominate an email address and password for your account. You must maintain the confidentiality and security of your user account (including your password) and not provide it to any other person.
  3. Please treat your ticket as you would money or other valuables. Do not share your ticket barcode, it may prevent your entry if it is duplicated.
  4. All ticket purchases are non-transferable and may not be resold, packaged or used for advertising, promotion or other commercial purposes (including competitions or trade promotions) or to enhance the demand for other goods and services, without prior written consent. If a ticket is sold or used in breach of these conditions, the bearer of the ticket may be denied admission, or other action taken, without guarantee of a refund. Entry may also be denied if tickets are not purchased from an authorised point of sale.
  5. Patrons with an Official Companion Card as defined by the Australian Government, accompanied by a Carer, pay Concession price and their Carer receives free general ticket admission. Companion cards must be presented at the Gates to gain entry with the companion card ticket.

ENTRY

  2. Friday 13th April 9:00am – 9:00pm
    Saturday 14th April 9:00am – 9:00pm
    and Sunday 10th July 9:00am – 6:00pm
  3. Ipswich Show Society or their designee, reserves the right to deny admission to the Show to any person holding a ticket that appears to have been tampered with, counterfeited, defaced or duplicated.
  4. Entry may be refused if the ticket buyer does not obey all government regulations regarding the event.
  5. Photo ID may be required for age and name verification.
  6. It is a condition of entry to the Ipswich Show that all bags/containers may be subject to a full search at the time of entry to the venue. Refusal to consent to a search WILL prevent entry to the Ipswich Show, without refund. Any prohibited items found will be confiscated and not returned.

GENERAL

  1. The daily program for activities within the Ipswich Show is provisional and subject to change as necessary without notice due to adverse weather conditions or other operational reasons. The right is reserved to cancel, withdraw, postpone, relocate or reschedule activities and there is no guarantee of viewing any or all scheduled activities.
  2. Whilst at the Ipswich Show visitors are responsible for the security of their own property. Visitors are reminded not to leave bags or packages unattended at any time.
  3. Images of the Ipswich Show taken with a camera, mobile phone or other wireless device cannot be used for any purpose other than for private and domestic purposes, without prior written consent of The Committee and payment of any imposed fee. Images cannot be sold, licensed, published, or otherwise commercially exploited.
  4. Making or distributing of broadcasts, commentary, or news reports by any means in any format or media including any such commentary made by mobile phone or other wireless device is not permitted without prior consent of The Committee.
  5. Entering the site to make political statements or unauthorised protests will result in you being removed from the venue and being referred to the Qld Police Service.
  6. Visitors consent to being photographed, filmed, and recorded as visitors to the Ipswich Show and consent to the use of any such film, image or recording at the discretion of The Committee.
  7. We reserve the right to add, withdraw, reschedule or substitute artists and/or vary advertised programs, prices, venues, seating arrangements and audience capacity. RESTRICTED & PROHIBITED ITEMS

For the comfort and safety of visitors, staff, and volunteers the following items are not permitted to be brought into the Ipswich Show:

  1. Alcohol,
  2. Amplification equipment,
  3. Animals, except service animals, such as certified assistance dogs & police dogs, approved Exhibitor entrants are allowed on the grounds.
  4. Dangerous goods or any other item prohibited by legislation,
  5. Distress signals,
  6. Drones (includes items also defined as UAVs or RPAs by the CASA rules).
  7. Fireworks, frisbees and helium balloons,
  8. Illegal substances,
  9. Glass,
  10. Large flags, musical instruments (unless by prior consent),
  11. Laser pointers,
  12. Unauthorised advertising material, banners or flyers,
  13. Vehicles of any kind including bicycles, motorcycles, scooters, (except wheelchairs, electric wheelchairs & mobility scooters), skateboards, and roller blades/skates,
  14. Whistles or loud hailers,
  15. The Ipswich Show is a non-smoking venue. Visitors are only permitted to smoke in designated areas within the show grounds.
  16. Adults must not leave dependent children unattended. All persons under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

ALCOHOL

  1. The Show (including all parts of the venue, including parking areas) is conducted in accordance with an appropriate Liquor Permit. Persons seeking entry to the show are advised that: Checking procedures will apply to prevent persons possessing liquor from entering;
    Intoxicated persons will not be permitted to enter;
    Intoxicated persons will be removed from the Ipswich Show;
    All patrons wishing to consume alcohol in the designated areas must have a photographic ID;
    It is an offence for minors to purchase or consume alcohol;
    It is an offence to sell to or supply minors with alcohol;
    Liquor is only to be consumed in the permit areas;. Persons supplying alcohol to minors will be reported to police;
    Penalties apply under the Liquor Act and Regulations.

PUBLIC SAFETY WARNING

  1. Visitors may experience some aspects of the Ipswich Show that are potentially hazardous including activities associated with close proximity of cattle, horses and other animals, uneven and potentially slippery surfaces and loud noises. Many areas of the Ipswich Show are exposed to direct sunlight and heat. Visitors are required to take appropriate care of their hydration and sun protection.
  2. The Committee does not take responsibility for personal injury, loss or damage however caused, including any negligence (but not gross negligence), breach of duty, default or omission on the part of the Committee’s staff, volunteers, contractors or agents.
  3. You will be liable for any loss or damage caused at the Event by you or your invitees.
  4. Appointed Officers of The Committee reserve the right, with reasonable cause, to refuse entry to any person or remove any person from the Ipswich Show without any entitlement to a refund and in compliance with the Tort of Trespass, Council regulations and State and Commonwealth statutes.

PUBLIC HEALTH AND SAFETY

All attendees of Ipswich Show must commit to stopping the spread of COVID-19.

  1. All attendees of the Ipswich Show must follow the instructions of the current Qld Health Public Health Orders
  2. Comply with Social Distancing requirements.
  3. Utilise the hand sanitiser stations throughout the venue
  4. The primary ticket purchaser agrees that they nor anyone in their group will attend the event if, at the time of the event, they are unwell or subject to a self-quarantine or self-isolation period.
  5. The ticket holder agrees to additional contact tracing on the days of the event by methods provided by the promoter such as a check in app if required as part of a Queensland Heath directive.

REFUND POLICY

 

  1. Please choose carefully.  We do not give refunds if you simply change your mind, make a purchasing error or make a wrong decision
  2. No refund or exchange will be given on any ticket except as required by law.
  3. If the event is unable to proceed on the advertised date or location by Government order, the Ipswich Show Committee reserves the right to reschedule the Event and offer a credit or exchange to the rescheduled date or offer a refund request window of 28 days. In the event of the cancellation in advance of the event, we will provide a refund.
  4. The Ipswich Show is an “All Weather Event”, except in such case of a “Force Majeure” defined event or an act of violence, The Committee would cancel the event. No refunds will be made if you choose not to attend due to inclement weather.
  5. There will be no refund on any unused portion of tickets if you or your invitees are asked or forced to leave or if you decide not to attend any part of the Show.
  6. In the event a refund is provided, we will provide a refund less an amount to cover the cost of ticketing.
  7. Refunds will be processed via the LUP platform.
  8. The refund or exchange will not apply in the case that the relevant circumstances were known to you and/or the relevant booking party members prior to the ticket purchase; and will not apply in the case that you and/or any of the booking party members attend the event and are refused entry, or asked to leave.
  9. Ticket is issued and when scanned is no longer valid for re-entry on that day. An armband must be obtained for re-entry on the given day. Armbands will vary each day.
